I didn't participate in day 10 which was - In your own space, talk about a creator. Show us why you think they are amazing. I thought it was repetitive of day 2 and 5, plus I'm a little embarrassed to say this but I don't venture around too much so that brings us to Day 11, which might just help me with day 10 so I might revisit day day.

Day 11

In your own space, ask for recs. Something as simple as "I like XYZ (where XYZ is a kink, a pairing, a trope, etc) - please rec me some." After seeing [livejournal.com profile] seductivembrace's day 10
I realized I don't know too many artist out side my own small circle. So please recommend to me, an artist (or artwork) you found truly amazing. Thank you.

Day 9

In your own space, create a fanwork. A drabble, a ficlet, or an icon, art or meta or a rec list. A picspam. Something. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

At a loss for ideas? Why not scan through the Day 7 posts and see what wishes you can fulfill? Have fun!

I scanned through the day 7 wish list and made an icon and a banner here they are

Day 8

In your own space, talk about a talent (or talents) you have. Everyone's got something they're good at.

I'm not very good at "singing" my own praises and I am super critical of my own stuff. That being said, I will try to objectively state my talents.

Sewing/Crafts - Some people say I am talented at sewing and doing crafts. I think that is partially because not too many people sew or do crafts any more. So if you can sew/do crafts, you are considered talented, plus I am creative in my sewing/craft endeavors. (Which means I don't follow directions or a pattern and still the project turns out well. ~_^)

Artwork- I have been lucky enough to have gotten a few awards for some of the icon/banner challenges I've entered. Does that mean I'm talented? Not necessarily. Can I hold my own when using PS, can I come up with a creative idea? Yes, does that mean I'm talented? *Shrugs*

I am very good with babies/children and get along with just about everyone. I'm not sure that could actually be considered a talent but it is a gift and I feel very blessed to have such a gift.

Well, that concludes the talent portion of the program. ~_^

Day 7 Here is the Master list of challenges.

In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts. Drop a link to your wish-list in this post. Maybe someone will grant a wish. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we'd love it if you link them to this post.

Since this is a wish list I'm going to make wishes that might be a little out there, but I think that's the point of this challenge.

1. A Buffy reunion show...I know... I know the actors are a little long in the tooth to be plying teenagers and ageless vampires, but it would be fun and I did say this list would be a little out there. ~_^

2. I would love a Spike action figure. I know this is crazy I'm an adult woman with adult kids and I want an action figure. I don't know what I would do with it if I got one (probably sit in my closet with other stuff I don't know what to do with.)

3. I hope this one doesn't offend anyone but I would love to see [livejournal.com profile] seasonal_spuffyback on lj. To me it's just not the same on DW.

Day 6

In your own space, rec at least 3 fanworks you thought you wouldn't like (because they weren't your fandom or they pushed against your boundaries or you thought you just wouldn't be interested) and that you ended up loving.

This one is really hard because I usually don't start to read or click on a link unless I'm pretty sure I will like the artwork/story. In other words I am very close minded about liking my little corner of the fandom.

1. Breakig a Slayer by Dark Rhiannon Loosely based on BtVS "Who Are You" and "This Year's Girl" It is an AU because Dawn doesn’t exist, Buffy hasn't slept with Riley yet, Spike's feelings are more pronounced, and events happen quite a bit differently than they did in either series. Buffy/Spike/Angel.
This was the first Buffy/Spike/Angel story I ever read, it has a ton of angst and a little bit of slash and I was very surprised that I liked it.

2. The Erotic Adventures of Willow and Spike by Laure Alexander (she’s [livejournal.com profile] ladyoneill here on LJ) Set after Innocence, but Passion and Becoming will never happen. This series revolves around Willow and Spike, but the other characters play large roles, including Buffy and Angelus. There's sex, violence, bloodplay, BDSM, role playing and some slash. It's long and extremely well written and the only Willow/Spike I've ever read.

3. Even though I am not a Supernatural fan I do love this wallpaper made by [livejournal.com profile] lightthesparks for [livejournal.com profile] sparkandburn from this and this base image.

Day 5
In your own space, share something non-fannish you are passionate about with your fannish friends.

Since my journal is not just for fandom I usually do this on a semi regular basis, but for this challenge I decided to do a post about my teapot collection. I'm sure it will bore most of you to tears

I started collecting teapots when I was 17. My mom made an off handed remark about how she didn't have "a cute round belly teapot." A local church was having a white elephant sale and I found a teapot. My mom was so thrilled that the next time I found a teapot I again bought it for my mom. By a few months I had bought three teapots for my mom. When I brought home the third pot, my told me she really didn't need more than one, so why didn't I keep the other two for myself? That's how my collection started. I continued to collect them because they are cute and remind me of a time past. Plus, once I started collecting them, people in my life started giving me teapots, not just pots that they bought but teapots that have family meaning. I have gotten teapot from my mother, grandmother, mother in law, aunts, uncles, neighbors and close friends. Some of the people who gave me teapots are no longer living and it always touches me to know I have a little piece of their history on my shelves.

I hope I didn't bore you all to death with my teapot collection.

Day 4

Introduce yourself to someone you admire and friend/follow them on whatever platform you use - journal or Twitter or Tumblr or whatever. Afterwards, leave a comment in this post with the equivalent of "I did it!"

Scary? Maybe. But I promise you there are people who are dying to know you. By friending someone you give yourself the opportunity to find out the artist you adore also has a weiner dog or that your favorite writer also tells wickedly funny tales about her teaching job. You could be on the cusp of making a friend for life. Be brave! Be bold! Be daring! Make a friend.

If you've already done so during the course of this challenge, then it totally counts for Day 4

I actually did this for day 3.... so win-win killed 2 challenges in one day.

Day 3

Comment to someone you haven't ever interacted with before. Afterwards, leave a comment in this post with the equivalent of "I did it!"

It doesn't have to be anything complex - it can be feedback for a fanwork or discussing something you might have in common or even simply admiring their icon. The point is to reach out to someone you normally wouldn't and connect with them, even if it's only for the briefest moment.

I did it and made a lovely new friend in the process.

Day 2

In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you did not create. See if you can rec fanworks that are less likely to be praised: tiny fandoms, rare pairings, fanworks other than stories, lesser known kinks or tropes. Find fanworks that have few to no comments, or creators new to a particular fandom and maybe aren't well known or appreciated. Appreciate them.

For the 2nd day I have 3 art pieces and 2 stories and, sorry but they are NOT less likely to be praised: tiny fandoms, rare pairings, fanworks other than stories, lesser known kinks or tropes. They were pieces that touched me in one way or another.

I decided to do the snowflake challenge, like many on my flist. (I'm such a sheep.)

I'm a bit behind so under the cut is the first day, I'll do the 2nd and 3rd day tonight when I get home from work.
